Great !! It’s highly motivating when other people take NextGEN as base and extended it with new features. In the last two weeks three new addon’s are available :

NextGEN FlashViewer

Boris Glumpler extended my idea to integrate the famous Adobe Flash Plugins (SimpleViewer, TiltViewer, AutoViewer) from Airtight Interactive for NextGEN Gallery.

WP-Greet

wp-greet from Tuxlog is a WordPress plugin to send greeting cards from your WordPress blog. It takes the images from NextGEN Gallery for your own greeting card.

NextGEN Smooth Gallery

The amazing gallery viewer from JonDesign’s SmoothGallery as integration into NextGEN Gallery (Written by Bruno Guimaraes)

Simple NextGEN SimpleViewer

Based on some request I added two new flash scripts to NextGEN Gallery. The fantastic Tiltviewer & Simpleviewer from Airtight Interactive can now easily added to your post or page.

(This plugin isn’t finished at all, I maybe add more comfortable options later)

UPDATE : I’m currently not able to work at this addon, if some is interested to update or maintain it, give me a note or pick up the script and write your own plugin. I will help with any questions…

Shutter reloaded

Thanks to a tip from Lise, I found a new cool image javascript effect, called Shutter Reloaded. This effect you can download as WordPress plugin here : http://www.laptoptips.ca/projects/wp-shutter-reloaded/

It’s a very lightweight (5kb) and easy to use script and looks very cool in my opinion. If you would like to use it , then simply download the plugin and activate in the shutter reloaded settings the option : “Shutter on all image links and use LightBox style (rel=”lightbox[...]“) activation and sets.” Now select in the NextGEN Gallery options->effect the “Lightbox” effect code…
