After the hacker attack from the 1st May 2007 , I started to drop the most of my plugins. This plugin is not longer available for public download.
Plugin Number 4 is inspired by the statistic plugin from the blog system at wordpress.com. Due to the fact that a lot of statistic plugins available, it make no sense to develop a new one, but a better overview and a smarty flash addon seems to be missing…
The most webserver provide you with a lot of information : hits, pages, visits, referrers, files and what ever. Additional you can use the plugin SlimStat, Shortstat or Firestat, etc. as plugin in wordpress. Some of them are good , some of them blow your database after a couple of weeks.
FlashSTAT should be a combination of an extractor for a long term statistic (with a minimum need of space in the database) and a nice and easy statistic at a glance.
Function / Behaviour
This plugin shows the table information of the last seven days in a flash chart. For a long term statistic FlashSTAT import the hits and the visits into a seperate table, so it didn’t blow up the database after one year. Please note : FlashSTAT is not a statistic plugin, it will not record any visits by itself, it only shows existing information in a chart.
Here a (live !) preview of my actual page statistic plugin, it’s shown with the Tag [ FLASHSTAT ] :
And this is a screenshot of the admin (Dashboard) section :

Import from your statistic plugin
I created a import plugin for my favorit statistic plugin “Semmelstatz”, but it also work with other WordPress statistic plugin modules : FireStats, Slimstat, Counterize, Shortstat and Silmstat-Ex. I didn’t investigate a lot of time if the Clicks, Visits and Hits are counting correct, please give me a feedback if you see problems.
Note / Copyright information
I write this plugin for my own purpose, to study the excellent flash statistic module from maani.us . It’s not a great thing and I don’t know if I will work on it in the future, but if you need support or if you have a feature request don’t hesitate to contact me in the forum. This plugin is licensed under a Creative Commons License, for a commercial project please contact me via email.
Installation
Download the zip-file and unpack the folder “flashstat” into your plugins directory. Then activate the plugin via the admin panel, one table will be automatic created. Look for the flash statistic under your Dashboard.

Hmm this is interesting. How would this work with Google Analytics?
No, this is not possible, cause I get all statistic information from the wordpress database, and Google Analytics track the web page in there own database.
sehr gute idee, toll toll toll!
amazing plugin
Hi. Really nice plugin. It works fine for me on the Dashboard, but when I inserts the FLASHSTAT-tag in a post, it only shows this text on the web-page: “This text is replaced by the Flash movie.” and Internet Explorer complains about the following javascript error: “‘SWFObject’ is undefined”.
What can I do to make it work?

Ok, it works now.
The plings was the wrong ones when copy/paste.
Changed det plings, and it worked just fine…. Thanx.
Br, Martin.
Yes, now it look ok….
I updated already the plugin.
Enjoy it !
Awesome plugin!
I actually had to change the /import/counterize.php file. I changed all instances of “counterize” to “Counterize” – Otherwise I received errors.
Just an FYI for a future fix…
Thanks!
Can you include import from PopStats Plugin?
Great plugin Alex, i’ll use it in some of my blogs.
Can he handle tens of thousands of visits per day, without compromise performance?
I think yes, cause it’s not the tracking tool itself. And the long term recording needs only 1 dataset per day, and not per visit…
Hey Alex..You have a flash object (your chart) in this wordpress page without having it to activate in IE 7 by clicking on it.. How did you do that? I dont get that working with swfobject tools/javascript..I want to post several swf’s on a page, without the activtion crap.

Have a look for the html source code on this page, there’s nothing more….
Seen this open source flash charts, http://teethgrinder.co.uk/open-flash-chart/
Hello – Great plugin, but there seems(?) to be a conflict with the WP Theme Editor. I saw the same behavior as this post describes after installing FlashStats:

Deactivating FlashStats fixed the problem.
I enjoy WordTube also and look forward to your new gallery plugin!
